In chapter four, we found out about Jay Gatsby. He really
isn’t so mysterious after all. He goes onto a car ride with Nick, the narrator.
He tells him all of this stuff about him. I think in the chapters to come, we
will find something shocking out about Gatsby, maybe more rumors will
circulate. We found out Jay went to
Oggsford (I think he means Oxford?) College.
“He went to oggsford College in England You know Oggsford
College?” “I’ve heard of it.” “It’s one of the most famous colleges in the
world”.
You have to elaborate more Hannah. You're off to a good start in this post, but you cut it short. What is this "stuff" that Gatsby tells Nick, and what does it say about Gatsby's personality? Do you think he went to Oxford? How does Nick feel about him? How about Wolfsheim? Lots of threads to pull on...
ReplyDeleteI have to say that I disagree with you on how mysterious Gatsby is. We still have not been told a lot about who he is, even if we still know a little about his past it is not very much. We do not know what rumors about him are true and which one are not.
ReplyDeleteI disagree as well. I think even though Gatsby has revealed a lot to Nick about his past, with supporting evidence I may add, he is still very shady being involved with wolfsheim and flashing his white card to that policeman...
