The final chapter
The ending of this novel is very nerve wrecking because of everything happening. Gatsby gets killed then there is a flashback of Gatsby's funeral. His own dad didn't even realize what happened to his son. I really have no predictions for the character's lives beyond this point. But, let me just say, I hope there is a happily ever after for everyone else and there is no more drama. I did like the book but I really wished Gatsby didn't die; when that happened I was heartbroken. It's like watching a movie and then your favorite star of it getting killed off. It's very upsetting. I did like this project; it was a lot of fun. I do wish that I would have been more timely on the blogging though.
Chapter 7
Chapter 7 of Gatsby left me with multiple questions. Did Daisy really mean to hit Myrtle? What will happen after everyone find out about her death? In conclusion, I think that Mr. Wilson is going to find out about his wife's death and then confront the person who did it. I don't know how Tom will take the news since he was having an affair with Myrtle, hopefully he takes it better than Mr. Wilson. I wasn't exactly sure about everything that happened in this chapter though, so it left me very confused. Here's a quote from chapter 7 of Great Gatsby, "Nick asks "'Was Daisy driving?' [Gatsby says] 'Yes,' he said after a moment, 'but of course I'll say I was. You see, when we left New York she was very nervous and she though it would steady her to drive'". From this quote, I understood that Gatsby took the blame for Daisy and told everyone he was driving the car.

The most exciting chapter yet....
This has been the most surprising chapter yet. I did not see any of that coming. Some parts I didn't understand really well, but I got the main points. It made me re-read it again because of all the juicy things that happened. I was sooo amazed. I think that Daisy purposely killed Myrtle. Gatbsy like tried to move the wheel back to the direction they were going in to try to miss Myrtle. I really think it was on purpose. All Jay Gatsby kept thinking was to try to get Daisy back. Do I think that Gatsby is starting to become a stalker? Yes, I do. I think that he really needs to give up on Daisy. It already got really bad and they committed a crime-- by hitting Myrtle and then running away without calling the authorities. I think that he is starting to become a little on the creepy side. He's very persistent! I have to say that when he puts his mind to something-- he doesn't give up easily. But this is something I think he really needs to start giving up on- He knew Daisy for a long time and they had their chance to be together but now it turned for the worse. My prediction for the next two final chapters is that Tom is going to find out that Gatsby is with Daisy since Myrtle was hit BY GATSBY'S CAR which DAISY was driving. Tom will probably think to himself "Wait, why is Daisy driving Gatsby car?" . He will put one and one together. A quote from chapter 7 when Gatsby was talking about the accident-- "Daisy stepped on it. I tried to make her stop, but she couldn't, so I pulled on the emergency brake. Then she fell over into my lap and drove on". (Page 144)

I think this chapter is a very changing point chapter. A lot
of things are happening. While Gatsby and Nick’s relationship is getting better
as neighbors. Gatsby is trying to
impressed Daisy but it’s not going as he had hoped. My prediction for this
chapter is that Daisy and Gatsby will date eventually but they have to get to
know each other first. I think that they
are really cute together. I think Nick will find love also with Jordan. Daisy
will cheat on Tom; since Tom cheated on her with Mrytle. “He asked him a few questions and found that
he was quick and extrangantly ambitious.”

In chapter four, we found out about Jay Gatsby. He really
isn’t so mysterious after all. He goes onto a car ride with Nick, the narrator.
He tells him all of this stuff about him. I think in the chapters to come, we
will find something shocking out about Gatsby, maybe more rumors will
circulate. We found out Jay went to
Oggsford (I think he means Oxford?) College.
“He went to oggsford College in England You know Oggsford
College?” “I’ve heard of it.” “It’s one of the most famous colleges in the
world”.

Chapter one gives us an overview of the main characters. We get to meet Tom and he's cheating on Daisy but she is in denial about it. We haven't met Gatsby yet but at the end of this chapter, neighbors thought they saw him and then he disappeared. My prediction for this chapter is that Daisy is still going to be in denial about the whole affair. Tom will continue to cheat with Myrtle. I don't think we can trust everything Nick says because there could be some things about it, that's not entirely true.
